Unlike many of the Oolong teas that are produced from Chinese cultivars, this organic Oolong tea is made from Assam hybrid tea. Long Lai ("longing for") has a very different profile from most Oolong teas found in China and Taiwan. The tea is made only in the first 2 months of the year during cooler nights and sunny days at the Araksa tea garden in Chiangmai, Thailand. Long Lai is smooth and balanced with a deep golden color, herbaceous floral notes and hints of honey sweetness.
Brewing:
Tea: 4 grams (one teaspoon) per 8 ounces of water
Water temperature: 176°F - 80°C
Infusion length: 3-4 minutes. May be infused 2 additional times.
